Today we are so very proud of our hair, and are teaching our children to be proud because it is an important part of who we are. African American authors are writing books for children such as, Nappy Hair, by Carolivia Herron, and I Love My Hair, by Natasha Anastasia Tarpley, thatare teaching our children how special they are and unique and different are their hair. This is a concept that stands out among all the other racial and ethnic groups characteristics I love the book’s pictures on the covers.
