I successfully led the corps through a 5-year inspection by the AFJROTC headquarters. Our unit achieved the highest scores possible. I believe I have the ability to inspire others to work hard, and to promote team work in order to accomplish a common goal. I have a commitment to serving worthwhile causes and those around me. At my school, I created a tutoring program to help students who were failing academically. I worked personally with other students and I was able to help them stay off academic probation. I later led this program to adopt a Boy’s Scouts troop and mentored them on leadership and community service. I take pride in helping others succeed and I look forward to the chance to work with my fellow cadets at the Academy as well. As a military child, I appreciate the positive difference the U.S. Military makes in the lives of Americans and people around the world. America is always ready to help with the humanitarian and security needs of others. I recently discovered the average number of people in an Academy class who are familiar with the military is five percent. Coming from a military family background, I am excited at the opportunity to share my unique experiences and perspectives with other
