Title of Essay: The Book “Al Capone Does My Shirts” is a fictional story written by Author Gennifer Choldenko taking place in the year of 1935 on the island known as alcatraz, a prison made for the worst criminals in america which is near the city of San Francisco.The story is about the fictional character that shows or depicts life on Alcatraz for the common families that lived there due to their fathers and husbands of the families finding work on the alcatraz island their families could live there with them.The main character is in one of these families and his actions along with the actions of others display or show the theme of the story, which is family and man vs man as moose flanagan (the main character) tries to help his sister natalie and make a relationship and trying to get back with his mom(Mrs.Flanagan). …show more content…
