There is no just a doing single test to diagnose this disease, but by ruling out the symptoms and the other conditions by the professional doctors, they can know and eliminate the disease. There are many ways and tests to identify the Alzheimer’s disease and all of them are important and essential. And they include: blood tests, mental testes, brain scans by Computed tomography scan (CT scan), Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI scan) and Positron emission tomography (PET scan) and physical and genetic exams.
It is unknown to put an exact cause for this disease. However, researchers set some main factors that may be increase the risk of Alzheimer’s disease which include the age, environmental factors, abnormal genes, disorders in the immune system and specific abnormal proteins in the patient’s brain. Experts believe that the patient’s brain contains abnormal clumps and knots, called tangles and plaques. These tangles and plaques contain a type of protein that may degenerate the nerve cells and kill them. Moreover, Researches says that the people with low education levels have the high risk to get Alzheimer’s disease.
