The values insisted by society that they follow is conformity. Starting with the American Dream and having a normal life by having a small family and nice comfortable job. America exhibits a nature for safety and comfort. The want for conformity is understood because of life and the stress that comes with it. Having a safe job that gives a person just the amount of money that is needed to have a comfortable brings to people peace of mind to stress over other things in life. However, we demonstrate another value that represents levels of greed, selfishness, and self interest. Society views have altered overtime and ultimately value individuality.
In todays world there is a big factor that drives many people crazy, money. Money is what makes many people stress over so much in life and people believe that with more money more happiness. There is an excitement that lies with risk taking and receiving a certain rush from it. With conformity there lies very little excitement but more comfort and relaxation.
