Muslims are constantly being discriminated against. The area of racial profiling is still a factor. Some may ask,” why so much discrimination?” There have been many factors that play apart in this situation. The tragic horrible acts committed by radical Muslims have impact these circumstances. In the past years, we have seen the Boston Marathon Bombing, the Boko Haram kidnappings of schoolgirls, and the recent ISIS rampaging through Iraq and Syria. Some Americans may say another reason is that they don’t see Muslims publicly condemning these terrorists. Arab Americans and Muslims have not responded passively to their treatment, unlike other subordinate groups. American people would like to be convinced that the radicals are truly exception and not true Islam. Is it too much for the Muslim community to take a stand? Maybe more of the Muslim Americans should publicly state that this is not normal behavior and they would like an end to terrorism. Do we ever see Muslims in the positive light of the media? I was thinking that, normally when I see Muslims it’s mostly in a negative view. I believe that’s why it is so easy for some people to discriminate against them. In my beliefs as an American, I don’t think they are coming here to impose. Just as everyone else came to America, it’s the land of the free. America in my eyes is a country where you have a great amount of opportunity. Some people come here to open up businesses, raise their families and go to school. There are many different reasons why they migrate to America, but I wouldn’t say they are imposing. America has many different cultures in one melting pot, which actually make up America. Each different culture make up important values in America. Each culture is different in many ways and those ways help this country
