Women have been discriminated and looked frown upon ever since Eve ate the apple from the forbidden tree. Females have suffered throughout the world by not having the same rights and liberties that men have, even though women go through the pain of conceiving children. However, women in the West have different opportunies and liberties than those in the Middle East. From clothing to political participation women in the West and Middle east have some similarities and some differences.

Women were tired of living under the shadows of men, they felt that they deserved to be equal since women demonstrated that they were capable of doing what men could do. Professor Chaboya highlighted that women in Mexico that accompanied their partners at war, their duties were to; cook, sew clean, and take care of the men. After the war women had opportunities to go to school where boys and girls went to separate schools. Men were taught better education than women, while women were taught the essentials of being domestic at home. Over the time after protest and tension, women in America had the right to vote in 1920, while in Mexico until 1953. When women had obtained more power, they organized groups that stopped men from drinking, declaring that drinking was causing conflict in the family. Women also emphasized for better education, which resulted in women getting jobs that men originally had. Later women even had the right to be in politics such as mayors, house representative, senators, and even a chance of becoming the president, such as Hillary Clinton. In the Middle East women also had political participation and
