You will not leave disappointed. Keep on knocking, and the door shall be opened. Every time you knock on the door of Jesus, your knock will not only just help you, but someone else too. In this sense, to knock is to pray. Whenever you knock, you make a pounding noise. This is done so that you get the attention of the person who is on the other side, so they will grant you access. So, it is important to knock, (or pray) because this is how you get doors opened – and prayers answered. Knocking is God’s will; however, you have to be certain that your request lines up with God’s will. Luke 11:10 reads: For every one that asks receives; and he that seeks finds; and to him that knocks it shall be open.
God is a very great help in times of trouble, but you have to keep knocking. God can change your situation in a second; you just have to keep knocking. When you knock on a door, how important is it to you that the other person opens that door? I hope that it is very important. So know that every time you go to God’s door, He stands ready to answer. But you must stand at the door, regardless of how long it might take to get your request
