In 1824 John Quincy Adams won the election. Henry Clay had some things to do with the winning for John Adams. Jackson and Clay had previously had some issues between the two of them before. This clearly didn’t make Jackson happy because after Adams won the election Jackson accused Clay and Adams of “making a deal behind closed doors.”
In the election of 1828 John Quincy Adams and Andrew Jackson ran against each other for the spot of presidency again. Although this time Andrew Jackson won. He had campaigned far better than last time from what I have read.
