Life in the City
In the cities of ancient China, thousands of people are buying and selling. The cities are surrounded walls protected by armies of archers, warriors, generals, and sometimes even the emperor. In the city, there are many different people, with many different jobs.
Life as a farmer
Farmers lived a difficult life in ancient China. They lived in small villages of around 80 plus family. Chinese farmers invented row crop farming. They used animals such as dogs and oxens to help do the work. Farmers are respected for their food.
Family life
The father of a family is the leader of the family. His wife and children are required to obey the father at all times. The fathers of the couple decide a marriage.
