Ladies and Gentlemen:
I am honored by your presence. I welcome you to a night of entertainment. You will witness a classic, Sophocles’ Antigone. This play has been translated and performed in a variety of different ways. In tonight’s theatrical production, you will witness this historic play with a futuristic twist. In tonight’s play, we find ourselves in the year 2045, situated in the palace of the infamous North Korean Supreme Leader, Kim Jong Kreon, known for abusing his governmental powers. As you all know, we live in a world filled with inequality. The audience will see a large picture of the Kim dynasty line on the office’s wall. In the picture, each ruler of the Kim Jong family will be holding their hands out to the nation’s people, demonstrating that they want to guide them. This demonstrates that the Kim dynasty value the importance of looking over the nation.
