My starting line and fences: I grew up in a society of contained and expressive people. My starting line was growing up in a family of immigrants, which would've been difficult if it weren't for my fences. COVID-19 built a literal barrier between people and society, which led to people being quite expressive. Through riots, social media, and more, people have become less narrow-minded, which has built who I am now. Comparison: Both Troy and I grew up in a household of Americans, which has not necessarily benefited either of us. Troy never grew up in a world that slowly learned to accept differences, but I did.
