Despite my circumstances, my academic performance exceeded my expectations (even though it is not as strong as I would have hoped). Through my secondary years, I have learned how to study for myself. Courses such as APUSH have forced me to learn how to better prioritize my time and how to study more efficiently. The stress of such a challenging course has better prepared me for a collegial atmosphere. AP Lang served as a platform to voice my options and learn more about others. I walked out of that class with less bias and more understanding of those who didn’t share the same beliefs as me.
