In the second week, Paul continues to create a climate in which April can examine her own thoughts and feelings (1. p.23). He further explores all possible problems by collecting data and attempts to build rapport with assessing the problems (2. p 37).He still engages April in open-ended questions to allowing her to expand on concerns and situations (2. p.143). She is able to express herself, analyze and think logically (p.224). However, April does exhibit signs of moderate distortions (p.225). An example, is when April discusses with Paul about her ex-boyfriend, Kyle, telling his new girlfriend,Sienna, that she has cancer.
