Venus was an ancient Roman goddess of love, beauty, sex, propensity, victory, and desire. Born from Uranus(Heaven) after “sea foam” thrown into the ocean. Daughter of Dione, wife of Vulcan and mother of Cupid. The goddess had two titles, Venus by the Romans, and Aphrodite by the Greeks. She was very well-known for her romance towards men and women, of gods and mortals. Aphrodite functions some of the most important aspects of life. Because, she is so well known and important, people of the ancient times have made mosaics, murals, and household shrines of Venus in her honor.
