Phones are important to teens, just as they are for adults and most teens don’t want to put them down while driving. I don’t see cell phones as a problem with teen drivers as adults also has this problem as well. There are also measures to prevent cell phone use while driving as many car companies developed Apple Car play, which displays the phone on the screen monitor. The monitor also allows teens to listen to messages and phone calls through the car, so cell phones are apparent to be a problem with teen drivers. Finally, accidents are a scare with plentiful teen drivers as they are more frequent between this age. Many accidents cost teens their lives so of course we want to prevent it, but it is not only teens with accident problems its adults as well. Many adults drink and drive and that problem are the main reason why accidents occur more frequently, so it is not just teens causing these problems. Now in conclusion, I do not believe the driving age should increase as most of these factors listed aren’t directed to teen drivers only, many occur within senior and adults as well. Looking at all the possibilities for teenagers it is safe to say that the driving age of 16 and 17 should stay in place.
