Most people have an opinion that they justify as morally right based on their beliefs. Converse topics are argued over everyday and there are many different opinions on a single topic. One diverse topic some people argue about is gun control. On one side people want excessive gun control or have guns stripped from all citizens. On the other side people want others to realize it is not a gun control issue but a criminal and a mentally ill issue. People have controversial opinions about this subject, but understanding that gun control will not solve a criminal situation is common sense.
Gun control helps to limit gun related accidents but does not prevent them. Having gun control gives people a sense of comfort, but it is not promised. Generally schools are a gun free zone, but that does not stop school shootings it only helps to limit the threat. A more strict gun control may help

Terrorists are criminals as well as mentally ill. Most people hear criminals plea as mentally ill, and that may be true, but it is usually the go to excuse for criminals. They will tend to claim that their mind is messed up in hopes to gain a more lenient sentence. The “mentally ill” excuse is used more as a loophole to escape the sentence they deserve. Placing more gun control laws will not fix the mental and will not completely stop criminals from performing crimes.
People have controversial opinions about this subject, but understanding that gun control will not solve a criminal situation is common sense. Gun control can help solve some problems, like trying to keep guns out of a no gun zone but it can not ensure everyone’s safety.
