Foreign Aid Essay: Opposed Viewpoint

Foreign Aid: money, food, or other resources given or lent by one country to another. The United States has a very sentimental side for developing countries and their economic stability. However, the decisions that are made in that process can really affect us as a whole. Although foreign aid can be helpful, I oppose the U.S sending foreign aid because it shows a decrease in our military, aid and food supply that we need in order to keep going. It is more money spent on other people and it’s not worth doing when you’re taking away the support and aid we have in the country.
I oppose the U.S sending foreign aid because it shows a decrease in our military, aid and food supply that we need in order to keep going. When food and money is sent, our food supply begins to decrease leaving us with barely enough food to support ourselves. Even though we do trade with other countries, there is no point in risking our health and survival for other people out in other areas of the world. What i mean by this is, once we gain a little bit of money it ends up being spent on military to go out and fight other countries battles, sending companies or workers overseas to expand their markets. “privileged nations have taken greater interest in giving out aid to particular countries in the third world.” (Daily Collegian) The U.S is sending our hard earned money out to support other people can be useful except for the fact that we are limiting ourselves. We can barely support the families that are struggling to support themselves and with outsourcing occurring all over the states we will soon barely have enough jobs to even try and keep a stable
