Regarding the Second Amendment right to bear arms, scholars claim that this right was never given to the enemies of the United States, and therefore any person who shows signs of terrorist behavior should be barred from owning any guns. Scholars also believe that the issue with this concept is that “Due Process” gets in the way of convicting true terrorists but is necessary to keep innocent people out of the wrath of the law. It allows for the most discussion because, by nature, it is open to the most back and forth. By simply arguing if guns should be allowed to all or that they should be removed altogether, there is no debate to be had over the grey areas and there is no progress made toward a better future. The people who argue fully against the right to bear arms using the name of Christ as their sword are no better than the people who want to take up arms against the violence in this country themselves.
