Asthma is a chronic long-term disease that effect the narrow of the airways in the lungs. This disease is known to start from an early childhood years, but it can effect up to all ages. ECSI (EMERGENCY CARE & SAFTEY INSTITUTE) states that in the United States alone over twenty-three million people are known to have this disease. In this project I would discuss what is asthma, the symptom of asthma, what cause this disease, diagnosis & Treatment, and other factors relating about this topic. Asthma began when there inflammation in the airways that cause your airway to narrow and produce a lot of mucous in the lungs. This make it very difficult to breathe. Asthma symptoms can vary from one person to another, if you are not sure or even show sign of the symptoms make sure you see you doctor immediately. Symptoms of asthma include coughing, wheezing, shortness of breath, and chest tightening. Although asthma is not curable proper treatment can help make a different for you and your health. Lack of treatment can limit certain activity especially for kids and teenagers who love sports.

Asthma can develop at any time in life, an example is if your family has a history of asthma you may or may not have it. My little sister Stephanie has allergies and hers develop into asthma, which is very common to have both. Although her activities are limited, she does take her medication that her doctor prescribe.
