Atticus Finch: A Hero
A hero is an individual who, in the face of danger, displays an act of self-sacrifice for a greater good. This label can be applied to superheroes that are seen in action-movies and even admirable people seen in daily life. Jean Louise Finch grew up in the small Southern town of Maycomb County where discrimination was evident. Atticus Finch is the embodiment of morality in the novel, To Kill A Mockingbird. His consistently fair judgment marks him as a static character that still had the roundness to sway the entire novel. Atticus is a hero because of his firm and just behavior that he held throughout every aspect of his life. Atticus enters situations with pure motives.
