After ten minutes passed by, they did an experiment with a questionnaire about body image and did a taste test, where young girls eat from bowls filled with chocolate peanuts. This is how Doeschka and Rutger did their study to experiment and see their results. They noticed that the young girls who played with the average size doll ate more food than the other girls that played with the thin dolls. Though, there was no conclusion, that young girls that played with thin dolls were influenced by the dolls body image. They concluded the dolls had an effect on the amount of food these young girls would intake by playing with the different six dolls. “In general, 15.4% of the girls wanted a larger body size, 35.9% were satisfied with their body size, and as many as 48.7% wanted a thinner body size (626).” They ended the research with these results. Playing with different sized dolls impacted young girls enough to where it made them question their eating behavior. Emme doll for instance, is different than Barbie doll. Emme does not focus on just body size but also in height and weight as shown in the image
