In the article, “Becoming a Gendered Body: Practices of Preschools” by Karin A. Martin, Martin explores how the question, “How do adult gendered bodies become gendered, if they are not naturally so?” She notes that while there are certain biological differences between the sexes (i.e. hormones, genitals), none of these account for the social difference that exist between genders.
