Everyone wants it, but only one person can have it at a time. Examples of these degree types include: Greek Mythology, Philosophy and Religion, and Theater Arts. Other than teaching, and perhaps rare historical research, when and where would a person ever need to use the skills that are acquired in such a major? It is one thing to add classes of such topics to a useful liberal arts degree program as electives, but schools that offer these majors to students are simply robbing them from practical application after graduation. By continuing these degree programs that result in empty promises, we are setting our nation up for failure on a global scale.
