When the twin towers were crashing many fireman went in to save people. This is a very heroic act that many will remember forever. They go in at their own risk knowing they might now make it out alive but they want to save people, or die trying. Many people also refer to some of the reporters as heroes, many people were at home watching the two towers crash and worrying about their friends and family, or even just worried for the people involved. Reporters were there sharing as much news as they could and it made a lot of people feel more safe that they were doing everything to save people and to keep them in the know of what was going on. “Modern heroes have to deal with the same reality as the rest of us. They have to fill out forms, sweat in the heat, and stand in supermarket lines. If the life a modern hero has any drama, it is in that single in which he or she performs one extraordinary act, garnering a brief bit of attention and earning the title of a ‘hero’”(“Unit Introduction.” Pearson Realize, p. 4). 2 It can be really difficult to know something is going on and you have no idea what is happening, people start to worry.
