Conveniently located on the corner of Massachusetts Avenue and Boylston Street, Berklee College of Music is immersed in the fast-paced lifestyle of Boston, Massachusetts. Here are some fun things you can do while you’re not in class or a practice room. (Be honest, your time is completely devoured by these two.)
1. Fenway Park. Located about a mile from campus, Fenway Park is the oldest stadium in Major League Baseball. Not only do the Red Sox play there, but Fenway also hosts lots of other fun events, including free college fairs, concerts, and more! It’s a beautiful walk, too.
2. Newbury Street. Need retail therapy after that Harmony 4 test? Newbury Street is walking distance from Berklee. …show more content…
The Esplanade. A short walk from the main campus, the Esplanade is a beautiful loop around the Charles River that winds through Cambridge, Massachusetts and back. Go for a walk or jog and enjoy nature and the scenic views!
4. Boston Commons. Another historic Boston landmark, the Commons are beautiful any time of year! Observe the foliage in the fall, go to the tree lighting in December, and see all the flowers near the ponds in the spring.
5. The North End. A must-see, the North End is home to Boston’s Italian side. Hundreds of years in the making, the North End is a lovely place to take an evening stroll, have a nice Italian meal, and observe the culture. Oh, and you can’t miss Mike’s Pastry and their legendary cannolis!
6. Cambridge, Massachusetts. Located right across the Massachusetts Avenue Bridge, Cambridge is gorgeous. Home to Harvard University and Massachusetts Institute of Technology, it’s a great place for a casual walk on a beautiful day. There’s also lots of venues that Berklee students perform at, including the Middle East!
7. Prudential Center. The Prudential Center is a great place to shop, eat, or go for an indoor stroll. Have a fancy meal at the Top of the Hub, grab a latte and study at Starbucks, buy a book at Barnes & Noble, or go shopping in one of its many
