Rising Bilingual Children Learning more than one language has many advantages in personality and society.
Children have ability to learning more than one language. There are millions bilingual children all over the world. A number of people adopt some myths that reflects to the bilingual children negatively. However, the benefits of being bilingual children have overcome all bad myths ideas. Myths such as being confused, delaying speech and reducing cognitive ability have been adopted and demonstrated between people. When monolingual person talks with bilingual child, the child will not mix languages because he/she is careful to use only relevant language. In brief, getting a child confused is a huge problem. In reality bilingual child is not getting confused by the another language. Researchers approve that bilingual children not getting confused. The second myth is that acquiring two languages in early childhood will led to speech delay. people believe that bilingual child has a delay speech. This problem will reflect to their future career badly. However, this myth is a far way from truth, because they focus in a temporary situation. almost all children mastered the languages before five years.
Monolingual and bilingual follow the same sequences, when they acquire languages. The delays are happened to monolingual as well as bilingual. This problem happened depending in individual ability. The last myth is that acquiring two languages in early childhood will affect badly in cognitive ability. Cognitive ability relates to mental activity, such as thinking, remembering, or using language. Many people believe that bilingual children have less cognitive
