Bob Marley had a rough early life and an early influence to music. Bob marley also known as Robert Marley was born on february 6, 1945 in St. Ann Parish, Jamaica. Bob marley's father left his mother the day before the wedding, when turning five his mother received mail from his father saying he should be moved to western side of kingston called Trenchtown and attend school there. Trenchtown was a neighborhood built over sewer piping that was a very poor, non friendly area. With his dad abandoning him with some elderly women, Bob was left in Trenchtown mostly surviving by himself. Bob marley then later on became best friends with Bunny Livingston. Before Bob Marley's death he became ambassador of reggae music, Introduced to the Rock and Roll hall of fame in 1994, and sold more than 20 million records he was the first international rock star that came from a third world country. On april 17, 1980 where the british colony rhodesia was named zimbabwe, and the zimbabwe flag was changed to red, gold, green, and black. The first words supposedly sayed where “ladies and gentlemen, Bob Marley and the wailers”(In text citation), these words were said because they listened and used Bob Marley's music as inspiration to fight back against the police brutality while bob marley sang his song “Zimbabwe” during a police riot. Another event that Bob marley effected after death is in 2011, The wall street protests that challenged social and economic diversity. The people believed that them chanting lyrics from Bob Marley's song “Get up, Stand up” where inspiring the protesters even more. Bob marley influenced many bands, and one being the refugee all stars. They were a group of people living in a political refugee camp in Guinean, that founded a band because of the inspiration from Bob Marley's music. There music won an international acclaim in 2006 for the song “living like a refugee” and the album “rise and shine” had the blend of reggae that bob marley used.
