He was born Robert George Seale in 1936 and was the oldest of three children of George and Thelma Seale. Born in Liberty Texas, his family travelled a lot in Texas and California do to their poor financial situation. Bobby Seale attended Berkeley High School in California. However, he dropped out without finishing and joined the U.S. Air Force in 1955. After three years he was discharged due a dispute with his commanding officer.
