6th grade BPI Reflections Competency Reflection Growth and Achievement I have done well in Growth and Achievement because I have grown in test scores and grades. Mrs.Prather and Mrs.Miller have helped me do that. They have helped me do that because they taught me how to do different types of things. Mrs.Prather has helped me with math,writing,and science. Mrs.Miller helps me with reading,social studies,and english. I have gained 57 points on Iready weekly monitoring. In my sport I have tried to improve. I practice at home and I hit 2 homeruns my first year playing because of my hard work. I think I'm better in school too because at the beginning of the year my grades weren't so good but then I started to get them up by paying attention. On …show more content…
We had to try our best to make it good. In the library we did a bit about me. It talks about what we like and stuff we do in our life that we enjoy doing. In science class we had partners and we acted like we were in the Kentucky forest and we had to do/make something that would purify our water so it would be drinkable. On my farm we had cows that had flies badly. So we had to make something work. We put 2 posts on the ground. Then we ran a long bovi-rub from post to post and poured flie powder on it so when they walk under it it will get on them. At my house, we had a water leak under the sink. I got everything out of the sink and put it somewhere. Then I was checking it to find out where the water was coming from. In sixth grade we have been doing a lot of essays. I'm one of them as a superhero essay, which we call our narrative. We had partners that we would read it to and that helped me a little to talk in front of people. Then we wrote a controversial wildlife essay about why we should save Kentucky Wildlife. I had to have a thousand words in it and I had to read it to go over it to check it. For social studies, we wrote a historical figure for Black History Month over at NTI with a partner. We both had a part in it and we had to do a video of us reading it on a google doc and I had to speak in front of my partner and it made me a little better in communication.Then we did a ladder poem because we had an assembly in the auditorium about why not to do bad things and we had to write a ladder poem about the assembly. Teamwork School has helped me with Teamwork because in science we had a biome project. A biome is like Tundra,aquatic,grassland,and all of those in my project are aquatic. We have a couple Partners in our group. We had to work together to do good in our project to get a good grade. Then we had to present it in front of everybody who had this teamwork to present it.
