Brick and mortar means that colleges based on technology and teacher-student interaction is getting old fashion. From generation to generation, technology is becoming big in society. Technology is becoming so important that nowadays it is used in all schools. Is technology better than brick and mortar campus? Brick-and -mortar campus is better than online since; technology does not help students learn and students lose trust to teachers because of technological advances. Technology is the present world. Student understand material being taught. Charles Murray wrote an article “Are too many people going to college”. In the article, he says “But without easy interaction between teacher- student, distance learning remained a poor second-best to a good college seminar.”( Murray). Teacher-student interaction is about trust and bond that builds the environment that makes it easier for students to learn. Teacher-student interaction have more hands on learning making students learn better and understand material better. Virtual learning does not do that. People might say that virtual learning is better because students can get answers faster than listening to 1-hour lecture to get the answer. Different teacher lecture differently and sometimes students might not understand material, but all teachers try to give information in a way so that students understand material.
