Brine Shrimp live in water but also to our knowledge water does enable the survival of every organism. Water is essential for life and so it is a biologically significant molecule, perhaps the most. It has many chemical properties that are important in biology.
Water is liquid at room temperature. This provides a marine environment for many organisms, including brine shrimp, to live in but it also means it stays liquid while inside cells. If it had a lower liquid temperature the metabolic reactions that sustain life which happen in solution wouldn’t be able to take place.
