[1.5] If possible, provide relevant equality and diversity procedures from your workplace (or place of study) to support your answer. There is a moral and legal obligation to treat people on their merits and their ability to do the job. Both employers and employees should make sure that labelling, stereotyping and prejudice do not influence the way in which a business operates.
The employer has several responsibilities to ensure that their employees are treated fairly these include the training of all staff on equality and diversity, development of procedure and policies in order to address any equality and diversity issues within the workplace these can be effectively done by training of line managers, making sure they are aware and appreciate diversity to promote fair treatment.
