Abstract
Canadian health care system is a mixed form of health care system .It has a group of socialized health insurance plans that provide all Canadian citizens with health care services. It is controlled and funded by provincial and territorial government, which works under the influence of the federal government. All Canadian citizens have an access to preventive care and medical treatments from primary care physicians and they also have access to hospitals, dental surgery and other medical services. Advantages of Private Health Care System
• You Choose Your Doctor: In the private healthcare system you can choose doctor of your choice. For patients that want the same doctor all the time, this can be a very important advantage of this type of system.
• Shorter Wait Times: In a private health insurance system the patient will have shorter wait times because the medical facility is not so busy. The patient can even pass the line by paying some extra money.
• Improved Facilities: As the public system is funded with government money it does not have access to as much funds as the private sector have.The public hospitals and health care facilities are often overcrowded and don’t have proper facilities. Disadvantages of Public Health Care System
• Quality of services has declined because of underfunding in public sector.
• Waiting list is longer- Public hospitals are usually overcrowded, so they have longer wait
