Caritas Australia is a non-government organisation and is the catholic agency for international aid and development. Caritas Australia is part of Caritas Internationalis which aims to supply emergency aid and grassroots programs. The organisation is based on beliefs that can grow and influence people less fortunate than us to live a more sustainable life. Some Principles include dignity of the human person, the common good, subsidiarity and participation, solidarity and preferential option for the poor. They strive towards building up a community by giving them the tools, resources, and education rather than having them rely on us to provide for them.
