According to articles of carpal tunnel syndrome known as the “CTS” or nerve compression disorder of the upper extremity, indicates that this syndrome is painful and leaves a feeling of numbness and tingling in your wrist and hand. This is because of the stress on the median nerve in the wrist. There are some tendons that passes through the forearm to the hand into the carpal tunnel. There are movements that the median nerve controls, which is the thumb and the first three fingers. Like any other diseases or syndromes, carpal tunnel syndrome has symptoms, diagnosis, treatments, prognosis, preventions, and complication. This can cause serious disability or it can be curable symptom depending on the age or the ignorance of leaving it untreatable.
Exceeding’s of greater than eight million people each year, are affected by carpal tunnel syndrome. Statistics shows that in a population that is working, 5% of them use their hands or wrist repeatedly on a daily living. They are the most affected to have nerve compression disorder. Sometimes they are treatments that must be surgically done, depending on how damaged the median nerve is. Compensation cost on workers is spend about $7.4 billion, that comes from treatments, lawsuit costs, and loss of products.
