Korematsu v. United States was a landmark Supreme Court case that contested the constitutionality of Executive Order 9066, but more specifically Civilian Exclusion order no.34. This order is what forced Fred Korematsu to be moved away from his home and moved to the closest assembly center which is where all citizens of Japanese descent of the San Leandro area were being moved to await transport to a Japanese internment camp. These camps were described by those that lived in it as having a very low standard of living. Some were even described as having rodent infestations. So executive order 9066 looks pretty
