September 11, 2001, the biggest attack in the nation occurred. An attack so horrific, an attack that was so terrifying crossed our eyes. Hijackers invading planes that hit the World Trade Center and The Pentagon and left the nation speechless. An anonymous attack like this brought out curiosity and hatred. This incident led to the pointing game. “Who did this? We want them to suffer.” The pointing game is played but no one has answers… just assumptions and hatred to back up actions. One can’t kill or war with someone else because of assumption and rumors. That’s unconstitutional. Iraq had a great reservoir for oil even back in 1979 when the peak of oil was hit of 3.5 million barrels a day (Hale). Al Jazeera stated “The US has strategic targets to achieve by dominating Iraq's oil, which are to have a card against the rising powers in Asia, India and China who are competing world's main oil demanders. And the second target is to secure Israel's oil needs according to the Israel-United States Memorandum of Understanding of 1975 (Al Jazeera)." In this essay, hatred and selfish desires was expressed thoroughly to represent the ideology behind the war. The war cost of billions of dollars, thousands of civilian and military life, and a drop in economy. Former President Obama refers to this war as a “dumb war” and that was projected all through out but however the main cause of the war was advantage over Iraq’s great abundant supply of oil.
