He used to come to all my games to support me, no matter what sport I was doing. He was also a diehard for gator fan which kind of sparked my entire family’s love for that team. Bringing him his favorite candy, Swedish fish, while he was still in the hospital is something I will never forget. After a 10 months of treatment the doctors told us the good news that he was cancer free. My family had never been so happy; we celebrated and welcomed him home, we were all so relieved to have him back. After a few months of being home and getting back to his old routine he and my grandmother noticed that he wasn’t looking too healthy. A couple days later, he collapsed. He was rushed to the hospital and a day later they told us the cancer was back and incurable. During his last few days, he was positive because he knew that he had lived his life the best way he could: spending time with the ones he loved and living his life to the fullest. Although I was only in fifth grade at the time, going through the grieving process was one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to do. I hate to say it but, my family has never really been the same after his
