When you are obese, you normally can't play sports very well. You can, but you aren't always that good. When you are obese you can't run fast. You get out of breath and tired very easily. Getting dressed is also a pretty hard task to do. It takes so much more time to get dressed than average people. When you are obese taking a shower is definitely an adventure (obesity). It is hard for you to reach and clean your whole entire body. These tasks are definitely possible, but it is so much harder to do. Lastly kids really struggle with sleeping, as well as adults. When you are obese you have more weight and it all presses down on your rib cage and lungs and makes it so hard to breath (obesity). Statistics show that a lot of people that are obese struggle with sleeping (obesity). It’s distracting and very uncomfortable, so you can't sleep for long periods of time (everyday health). Obesity can cause so many health problems. When your body's mass index rises, so does your risk for any heart disease (Institute). This affects arteries that supply oxygen-rich blood to your heart (Institute). Obesity also leads to a build up in these arteries that increases the chances of having a stroke (Institute). Another risk that obesity raises is getting cancer. When you are obese you have more likely of a chance to have colon, breast, and gallbladder cancers (Institute). In order to get rid of all these health issues, obesity needs to be reduced. Schools need to serve healthier foods. They also need to have more activities available for students, and these students need to participate. Even doing these little things will help get rid of obesity in schools much quicker.
People may disagree and say that “The public's obsession with weight loss is harmful” but it does actually help. They say that dieting doesn't help and that it does nothing, but that's not true (Cummins). It may not look like it makes a big drastic change. People will argue and say dieting didn't help them, or exercising didn't either. In order for it to work, you have to do it properly. You need to be devoted and really work hard.
