Nuclear Testing Angers China It’s starting to seem like North Korea just keeps digging there self into deeper hole with China. If it isn’t one thing, then it is another. First it was the nuclear tests they did back in February. This stirred up a little chaos not only between the Unites Nations and the United States, but also with China. The reason for China’s anger is because they are allies with North Korea. North Korea is saying the reason for the testing the weapons is because it was an act of self-defense against “U.S. hostility”. But from the start of everything china has always been against it. According to a Foreign Minister named Yang Jiechi said China was "strongly dissatisfied and resolutely opposed" to the test and urged North Korea to "stop any rhetoric or acts that could worsen situations and return to the right course of dialogue and consultation as soon as possible".
China wasn’t only upset but they were also embarrassed. They’re a permanent member of the Security Council and North Korea’s sole major economic and diplomatic ally. China felt Korea’s actions were unacceptable and felt as if they were betrayed in a way because of their allies’ actions.
