Part I
What is a worldview? A person’s worldview, whether it be Christian, humanist is a personal insight about meaning and reality. Also is how a person interprets, through their own eyes, about a belief in the world. reading the Bible is like brushing my hair daily (Weider & Gutierrez, Consider, pgs.49-51).
Part II
Articulate the biblical/Christian Worldview
1. The Question of Origin This is put together from the idea of where did life begin as well as how did man come existence. Some of us believe that we were created by god and that his hand brought the world about. I sure do believe that God created the entire universe and mankind. The scripture is Genesis 1:1 and David proclaimed his creation in Psalms 139:13-16(Weider & Gutierrez, Consider, pgs.55-56).
2. The Question of Identity The worldview says that God created man. This is well known from Genesis. Also, the saying created mankind above the animals and man was created. This is all back up in the Psalm. Genesis 2:15 “in the image of God.” Psalm 8:5 “a little lower than the angels.” God is the creator of everything in our universe including plant, animals, lakes, oceans, mountains, sand, dirt, rocks, rain, thunder, wind, snow, hail, sun, food, planets and stars, the heavens, and the earth. Animals have spirit like humans. Humans was created to rule above animals (Weider & Gutierrez, Consider, pgs.57-59).
3. The Question of Meaning/Purpose
This is the meaning having a real relationship with God. It is not about your daily living and how you get to Heaven. It is really living with God in your heart and as your savior. The Bible and God will guide us and actually listening to how we should live to be finally one day accepted by him in Heaven. Going to church doesn’t get you a ticket to Heaven. You have to believe and follow the Holy word day by day and asking forgives when you do a sin. Evolutionary Worldview holds absolutely no purpose. Christians believe that the purpose of mankind on earth is to bring glory to God. Deuteronomy 11:13 “all your heart and with all your soul.” John 17:3 “that they may know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom you have sent.” I think if we live for pleasure than we will be miserable and disappointed (Weider & Gutierrez, Consider, pgs. 59-61).
4. The Question of Morality
Christian’s morality is based on the nature and character of God. Christians live on moral and holy life based on God’s standards. Christians believe that man is born as a sinner and needs someone to save them, according to Psalms 51:5. They also believe Ephesians 2:8-10 when it states that salvation can only come through faith in Jesus. I believe if you do a sin and you believe in
