Christopher Columbus, a brave Italian explorer, began his far and treacherous journey across the Atlantic Ocean on August 3, 1492, leading the three ships known as the "Santa Maria” the “Nina,” and the "Pinta." Columbus' objective was to find a western sea route to China, India, and Asia, but sadly, he was unsuccessful. But the mission was not entirely a tragedy.
