Tuesday:
1. Chunk: APK: Raise your hand if you remember a strategy that we used to solve multiplication problems. Think back to last week, when we worked through the flipchart with octopus and fish. I want to see thumbs up if you remember a strategy that we used to solve those multiplication problems. If you don’t remember a strategy, put your thumb and pinky out and move it side to side. Have students turn and talk about strategies that can be used to solve multiplication problems. Talk to individual students who did not remember a strategy (“If you had three fish and each fish has two eyes, how many eyes do all of the fish have together? What are you going to do to figure that out?”).
2. Chew: Students turn and talk about different strategies they can use to solve multiplication problems. Call on different students to share what their partner said.

Chunk: Objective & EQ: Today, we are going to continue to learn about all of the different strategies you can use to help you solve multiplication problems. We are going to start with a short video, then a read aloud, we will do a word problem activity as a class, and then we will come back the carpet for to debrief.
