Circe’s experience with Odysseus and his men was also a Feminist Pyrrhic victory because it shows an overtaking of patriarchal power. When Circe invited Odysseus and his men inside, she turned them into pigs and she “tossed them/acorns, mast, and cornel berries-- fodder/ for hogs who rut and slumber on the earth” (Homer 574-576).
