Martin Luther King Jr formed a national organization with the help of others called the Southern Christian Leadership Conference. This shows he was a big influence in getting equality for his people because he took action and formed a group without causing violence. This also shows Martin Luther King Jr made a big impact in achieving equality because he influenced other people to take action as well. Martin Luther King Jr also gave his “I Have a Dream” speech in his march to Washington that influenced the minds of many people who listened to it. This shows that equality is achievable because this speech led to opinions of people on African-Americans change which led people questioning the way blacks were treated and in the speech Martin Luther King Jr uses the Constitution as evidence that we all should be equal.. Elizabeth Cady Stanton despite being involved in many women's suffrage associations she traveled around giving lectures and speeches. This shows that Elizabeth Cady Stanton is helping achieve social equality by teaching people about woman and how they should have rights. This also shows that equality in society is achievable because she is going around traveling changing the opinions of people to help gain suffrage for women. Elizabeth Cady Stanton believed in woman’s right to vote because she thought it was the most important because she thought that the right to vote would lead to other rights and this resulted in the 19th amendment. This shows that the Constitution promotes equality because this right was added to the Constitution and not taken out ever since because equality for women was achieved.
