The Clean Air Act (CAA) of 1970 is the most thorough bill on air quality and climate control in American history. A specific section of this bill discusses the emission of harmful air pollutants to protect human health and environment. The bill underwent revisions mainly in 1977 and 1990. A few regulations were formed to check for risks early on, but after the 1990 CAA Amendments, it became stricter because “technology-based standards” were going to be made the norm for “stationary source or group of stationary sources that emit 10 to 25 tons of hazardous air pollutants per year”.1
