El Salvador which is relatively small with an area of 20,740 sq. km. Its geography is quite diverse . There is about 86% of subtropical humid forest , 8% of subtropical very humid forest and 4% of tropical humid forest. Its average rainfall is about 1823 .6 mm . With an average temperature of 24.8 degree Celsius. El Salvador , through the government is the one who is coordinating the preparation and follow up for an environmental policy which would be committed to establish the mitigation to climate change strategies which achieve international priorities. The ministry of environment and natural resources is working on international climate change which will include ;
1) International Action Program on Adaption
2)International appropriate mitigation actions in the context of the national development priorities
3)Science and technology for adaption
4) Education , Awareness for developing the environment's status.
El Salvador has moderate amount of adaption action currently underway , which researches on adaption of climate change and how to help areas such as ecosystem conservation.

Increasing population led to deforestation, soil erosion and pollution from agrochemicals. Climate change has caused erratic rainfall , more frequent and intense storms.
