I grew up in a neighborhood full of different personalities and characters. There have been people in my neighborhood who have definitely helped shape me into the person that I am today. Although, I grew up in the country, far away from town, I have still been involved with the community of Warren, Illinois. The different types of people that I have met through my neighborhood and community, have helped transform me into who I am today. First, when I was younger, I used to live in the middle of town in Stockton, Illinois. I still remember the close knit feeling that my family received from all of our neighbors when we moved to Warren. Being involved in a neighborhood and community has taught me multiple life lessons. I have realized that sometimes communities have to go through tough situations. I have also realized that it is much easier for a community to get through these situations if they work together. Coming together as one, will truly benefit a neighborhood. Also, coming together has taught me how to be helpful in all tough decisions, whether it be at school or in the workforce. …show more content…
In some situations, when communities come together, it may be easier to meet and interact with people that an individual has never interacted with.
