When one talks about the cost of college, they are not just talking about finance. They also imply sacrificing family and time. According to Roger Vedder an economist at Ohio University said, “College isn’t only a good investment but probably a very satisfying experience for life” (qtd in Brown). College education is worth the cost because those who attend has better job opportunities, more income, and more benefits. Receiving higher education statistics show people have better job opportunities. Some people say higher education does not provide more job opportunities. It is true that some people get good jobs without going to college, however receiving a higher education means better job opportunities and better job opportunities means more money. Some people say higher education puts you in debt. It is true receiving higher education puts American citizens are still in debt in their old age. However receiving is not the reason one is still in debt in their old age. My U.S History teacher said he is currently in college working on his master’s degree, and he is paying off his student loans. He had to make adjustment on his paying, so he can pay off his debt and he paid off all his debt. The point is higher education does not necessarily mean education cost debt, but bad money management does and higher education can bring you more
